Responsibilities:

• Make sure everyone is safe.
• Love and respect students while teaching them to swim.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to swim
• Must be 18 or older (for instructor position)
• Caring and compassion for people of all ages and abilities
• Ability to work in the water for periods of up to 5 hours
• Strong communication skills
• Great attitude and willingness to be coached
• The ability to focus in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to be flexible
• The ability to commit to working afternoons and some weekends 
• Red Cross CPR and First Aid are required (We can provide this training for a fee)
• Red Cross Lifeguard certification is desired
• Must pass a criminal background check, required
• One year of previous experience working with children is desired

 Pay:

New employees must complete all paid training and the 90-day probationary period before qualifying for Instructor wages. 

• Instructor pay is $13.50 - $18.00 per hour based on experience and availability.
• Annual wage increases
• Opportunities for additional wage increases, bonuses, awards, and prizes based on performance
