About Us
For over 25 years, Aquatic Adventures has been teaching swim lessons to children of all ages and abilities. Our unique programs have been developed and trademarked by founder Mary Kerr, a former competitive swimmer, coach and mother of four.
Programs we offer include:
What is our Infant survival and swim program?
We want all children to enjoy the water safely. It is important to remember; there are many layers of protection when you are around water with your children. The first layer is constant supervision. The second layer is swim lessons. Enrolling your children in swim lessons with a professional instructor can reduce the risk of drowning by 88%. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children starting swim lessons by age one.
Our Infant and toddler program teaches little one's necessary entry-level skills for the water, such as comfort, breath control, floating, and recovery skills. Learning to roll from a face down to a back-float position is an essential skill taught to infants and toddlers. These first skills are the foundation upon which we build swimming skills.
Once children master these first essential skills, they learn basic movement and turning skills. When children are physically and cognitively ready, we will begin the introduction to freestyle and backstroke.
This program has proven time after time learning skills such as these are saving lives, providing boundaries, and building confidence.
We believe the foundation for survival comes through an understanding of the danger associated with water.
Just as we teach our children not to touch the hot stove or run in the street, we will teach children to be cautious around the water as we implement the survival and swimming skills needed to enjoy and participate in water activities safely.
Our dedicated staff is committed to the success of your child’s swim development. Our highly trained, caring, and knowledgeable instructors approach each child as an individual, building a trusting relationship and starting a successful journey.
